Putting the spotlight on one of the most common and least discussed women’s health issues: How to Deal with Bladder Control Problems and Their Impact on Your Personal Life

This is a Multivu report brought to you by Meditronic, Inc. As many as 33 million Americans suffer from bladder control problems, which can have a profound impact on a person’s life. Women with bladder control problems struggle with simple everyday activities – such as working, shopping, traveling in a car or seeing a movie – for fear of embarrassing wetting episodes or not being near a restroom. That fear can impact relationships with family and friends and even interfere with intimacy.

Dr. Raymond Bologna, Urologist, Akron, Ohio:
"Unfortunately, many women don't realize that bladder control problems may be treatable, and they struggle for years before talking to their physician or healthcare provider. It is important for patients to understand their bladder control condition and to seek out support resources, including a physician who can educate them about the treatment options that are available."

To mark Bladder Health Awarness Month, Meditronic is partnering with prominent patient advocacy groups to encourage women to “Face their Moments Together” through an educational campaign to raise awarness of support resources for bladder health.
